Trees for Health Project
A Medicinal Tree grove that was planted in San Diego's Balboa Park in 1998 and 2003 by the Herb Club of San Diego. It features over 40 specimens with ID posts listing the common and botanical names. There is a brochure with additional information on the traditional or modern uses of the trees. The project was made possible through a U.S. Forestry grant called California ReLeaf. The Trees For Health Garden is featured and celebrated each year on HerbDay. If you would like to contribute to the Trees For Health Garden, please contact Charlotte Tenny.
The San Diego Herb Club sponsers a local event each year in celebration of HerbDay, a national event. Each year we select our Trees For Health Garden location as the place we wish to celebrate and honor All Things Herbal. To learn more go to HerbDay.
